Mellona didn’t start as a brand. It started from the land. My father grew up in a rural village and worked the land himself. He understood what it takes to grow something properly - the time, the patience, the uncertainty.

Cyprus is a small island, but it shapes its food in a unique way. Strong sun, dry soil, and a constant sea breeze. Ingredients don’t grow easily, but when they do, they carry depth, character, and are dense in essential nutrients.

Honey was at the centre of it. Not just as a product, but as something alive, complex and already complete in its natural form. We don’t try to change that. We build on it. By combining raw honey with natural, unprocessed ingredients, superfoods, superfruits, herbs, and spices, we enhance what is already there, adding layers of flavour and nutritional value without taking anything away.

That’s where our belief comes from; food, when left unprocessed and as nature intended, serves its original purpose better, nourishing the body with what it actually needs to live a healthy, balanced, and happy life. We believe food doesn’t need to be engineered, it needs to be respected. We don’t heat our honey. We don’t strip ingredients down. We don’t alter their natural structure.

We continue to work close to the land, using real ingredients from our region, respecting their nature, and keeping our processes as minimal as possible. We’re not trying to reinvent food. We’re simply trying to keep it real.
