A special syrup, all natural out of Cyprus black gold! Dark, almost black with a strong flavour full of character. It has a sweet, chocolate-caramel like flavour and it is full of healthy nutrients such as calcium, potassium and magnesium.
Every September, ripe carobs are hand harvested and the precious pods are transported to our workshop where they are sorted, and the best will be milled for carob syrup production, whilst the rest given to animal food producers. This takes place on.the same day, ensuring our carobs do not stay in the field for long, which would begin to degrade their quality.
After milling, the carob fruit is soaked in water overnight. We only use cold water for this process, and this makes a huge difference because it stops tannins from releasing into the juice. Tannins are of low nutritional value and in very high amounts are not safe for consumption. The following day It is slowly boiled until the excess water is evaporated and the delicious natural syrup is produced. We boil slowly so our carob syrup retains most of its original nutrition value.
It does miracles for digestive disorders and in our country it can be found in pharmacies. Use our carob syrup to add flavour, sweetness and beneficial nutrients to your porridge, smoothies, yoghurt, salad dressing, energy bars and home baking.

Delicious, thick, high quality carob syrup. With now not making regular visits to Cyprus, where I purchased carob syrup, I was pleased to discover a company here that sells it. This time I also bought the raw honey with ginger, turmeric and black pepper – what a delicious combination!
