Our cold pressing method is a traditional technique which gently squeezes the oil from the seeds. This gentle process ensures the full flavour, health and nutritional benefits are preserved. Once pressed, our oil is triple filtered to create the beautiful golden colour we all recognise. In recent years health professionals have advised people against the large consumption of saturated fats which are often found in processed / fatty meats and full fat dairy products such as butter. Rapeseed oil is classed as a monounsaturated fat and can help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.

Chiltern cold pressed can be used in many different ways, from dressings, dips and marinades to roasting and searing. It can even replace butter in baking.

Different oils burn at different temperatures therefore some oils are not suitable for cooking with. Burning your oil not only ruins the flavour but changes it?s nutritional composition.

Rapeseed oil has a high smoking point (230 celsius) which makes it ideal for frying, searing, roasting and high temperature cooking . This high smoke point means that the nutritional benefits are maintained throughout cooking.
